Rug from the south of Morocco, which black background evokes more precisely the surroundings of Ouarzazate. The wool of this rug, knotted with skill and craftsmanship, is extremely neat and delicate, giving it superb brilliance. The geometrical design, at first sight regular, plays in reality on an indistinguishable but significant evolution of saffron buttons which seem to be multiplied to hatch in four- petalled ears. Underlined by irregular and interrupted lateral lines, the result succeeds in creating a hypnotic impression.
