Old rug from the Azilal region, made on a base of white and brown natural wool. A very powerful graphical composition which shows the typical colors of the region. Particularly thick and dense, this rug offers remarkable comfort despite its high age.
Beyond the silky appearance of the wool - weathered by the many washes - by examining the reverse, we find traces of time as much as the artisanal type of extremely fine weaving.
Its dimensions, quite unusual for the region and the period, could be explained by the fact that this rug has been shortened, giving the proportions particularly suited to our modern interiors.
A beautiful old piece of Azilal, comfortable and with a highly desired size.
