The design of Beni Ouarain and Marmoucha rugs, sometimes called "the white giants", has a network of diamonds, triangles or naive figures in black on a white or cream background. These rugs didn't have a decorative purpose and were traditionally used as bedding and blankets to keep warm in the cold Middle Atlas Mountains. Nowadays the Beni Ouarain and Marmoucha are used all over the world as an exclusive floor decoration.
