Among all Berber carpets that can be found on the market, in museums or in various private collections around the world, this one is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable. And we are proud to have it in our collection. Produced in the middle of the 20th century by a woman disconnected from the artistic trends of that moment, it alone proves that Berber carpets deserve to be considered as a field of art in its own right. We are, without no doubt, witnessing a true masterpiece whose radical abstraction, graphic complexity and aesthetic power have no reason to envy the most accomplished works of modern art. Let us think only of Vasarely or Hunderwasser, and we will be struck by the necessity of recognizing this major production.
